TOOLS FOR THEOLOGICAL EDUCATION
At the Galilean Theological Center, we thrive in bringing our students the most cutting edge technology to make their learning as easy as possible. During the pandemic, we quickly learned that giving Seminary remote access to our students would not only ensure the seminary continuity, but it would also enhance our students learning capabilities. After COVID-19, we are now introducing new ways to engage students who live outside Ohio, and even those that live outside our country. Distance learning has now become part of GTC forever! We now provide hybrid classes, with the option for in person and online courses simultaneously. We use the following electronic tools to connect with our students in a virtual setting.
Zoom and/or Google Meets - these methods are used for all our classes. Some courses are only virtual, but others are hybrid (virtual and in person).
Google Drive - this is our online access to student electronic files. Every student will have a shared file through Google Drive where they can see their virtual recordings, class requirements, course resources, and have the ability to submit their class assignments.
Google Gmail and Contacts - this is where we keep our student contacts and electronic communications. *It is advisable for students to create a new GMail specific to their theological studies. This will make it easier for them to track and access their courses.
While this list is short, we are constantly looking for ways to interact with students easier and more effective for everyone. Stay tuned as we continue to bring GTC into the future!
